- Global Adventure Guide (GAG) reserves the right to modify tour itineraries in situations such as adverse weather or to better suit client requirements
- GAG shall not be held responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by late arrival of public transport, schedule changes, strikes, vehicle breakdown, Acts of God, or other conditions beyond our control
- GAG acts solely as an agent in securing accommodation and where applicable, public transport, and shall not be held liable in the event of any failure by any person or company to render transportation, accommodation or other services
- GAG reserves the right to resell a tour space without notice if final payment has not been received by due date. The right is reserved to decline to accept or retain at any time any participant in any tour.
- If any cyclist is riding in such a manner that it causes damage to the rented bike that person will be held liable for all expenses incurred to repair the bike to allow reuse
- Helmets must be worn at all times while participating on our cycling tours
- By making the deposit payment you are deemed to have accepted Global Adventure Guide's Terms and Conditions
- There will be no refunds once a tour has commenced
Tour Confirmation
A deposit of 25% of the tour price is required in order for us to reserve your place on your selected tour departure. On receipt of your deposit by Global Adventure Guide a confirmation letter will be emailed to verify your travel arrangements and advise final payment details.
Tour Pricing
Our international tours are in many cases priced utilizing the local currency at origin of the tour departure. All confirmation letters will verify the currency of the tour and its value, we will also give an estimated New Zealand Dollar (NZD) value. However, any representation to New Zealand Dollars (NZD) on our confirmation letters is an estimated final price only and payment will be converted at the correct exchange rate on the date final payment is made to Global Adventure Guide.
Final Payment
The balance for all Global Adventure Guide tours must be paid no later than 60 days prior to tour departure.
Our preferred method of payment is via our secure website utilizing your credit card.
Tour Cancellation Policy
All tour cancellations will require notification in writing to Global Adventure Guide reservations by the person participating on the tour. It is advisable to purchase cancellation insurance on payment of your tour deposit to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.
- Cancellations received 90 days or greater prior to tour departure will result in a loss of 50% of the tour deposit per person.
- Cancellations received between 60 - 90 days prior to tour departure will result in full loss of tour deposit per person.
- Cancellations received between 30 - 60 days prior to tour departure will result in a 50% loss of the full tour price per person.
- Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to tour departure will result in 100% loss of full tour cost per person.
Global Adventure Guide will in most circumstances allow the transfer of the deposit or tour payment to another tour departure (subject to availability) provided the request is received at least 60 days prior to departure. An administration fee of NZD$50.00 per person will apply.
Safety Terms And Customer Declaration
Your safety is our priority. However, all adventure tourism includes inherent risks, dangers and hazards. These include road cycling, mountain biking and hiking.
While we will endeavour to ensure your trip is as safe as possible not all risks, dangers and hazards can be anticipated or avoided.
We ask you to carefully read and fully understand the “Global Adventure Guide Safety Terms and Customer Declaration” information below. Your signature is required to confirm your acceptance of these conditions and to complete your reservation.

In any cycling activity, there is an element of risk involved. Risks in undertaking this activity include personal injury, property damage, missing persons and occasionally illness due to adverse weather conditions.
The staff and management of Global Adventure Guide Ltd take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential dangers. However, you must follow our instructions and use the safety equipment provided at all times. Adults accompanying any person under the age of 18 must ensure that the underage person follows our instructions at all times. You must release or indemnify Global Adventure Guide Ltd, our staff and sub-contractors against any liability we incur to anyone else, resulting from your failure to follow our instructions or the failure of any person accompanying you under the age of 18 to follow our instructions.
We reserve the right to withdraw any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel the scheduled activity if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person.
EXCLUSIONS: To the extent permitted by law, all our liability for damage to your property, disruption to travel plans, or mental injury is excluded. This exclusion is subject to any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Please list on the ‘Health Profile and Questionnaire’ any medical conditions or other information we need to know to include you safely in this activity. For example: asthma, allergies, heart conditions, epilepsy or pregnancy. You are entitled to access any information we hold about you or to request any correction at any time.
