Mountain Biking on the Caribbean island of Trinidad offers one an excellent
opportunity to enjoy a variety of trails from easy to extreme that are tremendous
fun while viewing exotic birds, butterflies and wildlife in magnificent rainforests,
rugged coasts, and verdant lowlands. Throw into this mix a cultural blend of
mainly Caribbean, European, African, Chinese, East Indian and Amerindian
influences and you have an outstanding vacation in the making. Trinidad
exemplifies rugged charm, exotic beauty and ease of life that comes from its

Trinidads relief is a combination of rugged rainforest covered mountain ranges,
extended flatlands and rounded sloping hills make it an excellent destination for
mountain biking. Up to the 1970s much of this land space was used for
agriculture but as Trinidad became industrialized many of these estates were
abandoned, however, they have left an intricate network of trade routes made up
of country roads and trails connecting the trade routes. Some of these trade
routes have been in use since the days prior to Columbus arrival in 1498 by
Amerindians. The rides range from cruising flat old country roads to difficult, out-of-breath ascents and fast, technical down hills that are a guaranteed rush!
This tour is designed to experience the wild side of Trinidad through adventure
mountain biking, wildlife encounters and cultural exchange with an emphasis on
conservation. You will experience and learn about the intricacies of rainforests,
wetlands and other habitats through immersion in these habitats and edification
