Ethiopia

It is not true! The fastest thing in the world is not a Chicken running through Ethiopia. Far from it Ethiopia gets a bad rap. Sure its not lush green rolling hills, its Africa for goodness sake!

Ethiopia is large, twice the size of Texas and is a land locked country of 73 million people located to the West of Somalia. The only African country not to have colonial rule in its history it has democratically elected government in place since 1995 and boarder war with Eritrea is now over. This all makes for a blossoming tourism trade and the opening of new and exciting areas to foreigners.

With the terrain being made up of a high plateau containing a central mountain range divided by the Great Rift Valley. The elevation extremes go from 125m below sea level to 4,620m at Ras Dejen, that’s quite some climb!
